Lennon & Maisy Magazine Spreads

BRIEF:
Design a four‑page layout about any topic using at least three photos and 1,500 words of text.

CONCEPT:
Lennon & Maisy are small town Canadian sisters who star in the show Nashville. When working with a large amount of text, kerning, tracking, and leading were all very important when editing and designing. The burnt-orange colour and the slab-serif typeface used for the main titles and headers, helped to translate the indie-style look and feel that I was aiming for.

Using a 6-column grid system, the layout is clean and functional which allows the readers eye to flow from one page to the next.
